IoT Solutions provider TTTech Industrial today is launching the first commercial product based on the Linux Foundation’s ACRNTM hypervisor for the industrial market. With the latest release of its Nerve Blue industrial edge computing platform, TTTech Industrial is making ACRN 2.0 available to customers in a commercial, fully supported software solution that runs on Intel industrial processors.

October 2020 marked the successful completion of Productive 4.0, Europe’s largest research project in the field of digital industry. The project had a duration of more than three years.

Pioneering international machine and plant manufacturing company Fill is the first to upgrade to the latest version of Nerve Blue, released in April 2020.

B&R and TTTech Industrial have worked together for several years. In 2016, they initiated the Shapers Group to establish OPC UA over TSN as a real-time and sensor-to-cloud communication solution for industrial applications. OPC Foundation recently announced its commitment to extending OPC UA TSN to industrial field level devices. TTTech is pleased to be represented with a seat on the Steering Committee that is tasked with directing the technical and marketing strategy of the initiative. TTTech’s participation ensures that it will continue to be a key player in the drive towards vendor independent end-to-end interoperability for industry automation use cases including performant real-time control.

TTTech and Intel have published a joint white paper that acts as a guide for customers looking to implement TSN networking technology in industrial automation systems. The white paper gives an overview of all TSN standards, benefits and features, as well as describing how TTTech and Intel products that are available today can be used to develop optimized TSN devices and systems.

Rockwell Automation joins the group of industry leaders known as Shapers to create a communication solution for real-time and sensor-to-cloud applications in industrial operations. This solution will be based on the OPC UA protocol and the Time Sensitive Networking (TSN).

TTTech’s groundbreaking Slate XNS configuration software for TSN networks is now available for customers. Slate XNS is the first vendor-independent configuration software for TSN. It is available as a standalone software that runs on Windows or Linux and can be used to set up networks containing any standard compliant TSN devices.
