Our market-ready products enable immediate deployment and seamless integration into existing systems. We allow our solutions to be tailored to specific customer needs, ensuring that our products meet current demands and adapt to future requirements.
Aviation & Space
TTTECH Aerospace has worked on distributed modular avionics (DIMA) for more than 20 years. DIMA enables application software to be executed within dedicated partitions that are physically or virtually separated. This modular approach means that software execution and safety cases are hardly affected by modifications and added application software. Our radiation-hardened modular avionics platform for outer space fully supports time and space partitioning in human spaceflight.
Network switches form the core of any dependable network as they route data traffic from one end-system (node) to one or several other end-systems. TTTECH offers Ethernet-based network switches for the aviation, space transportation, and human spaceflight markets with a focus on the highest reliability and fully deterministic behavior. The latter simplifies testing and qualification. Our switch products range from platform modules to fully integrated products for either development purposes or operational use.
In data networking sub-systems connected to the network are referred to as an end-systems or end-stations as they sit at the edge of the network. What TTTECH offers is typically connectivity for end-systems, not the full subsystem design. This can be either an interface card that connects a sub-system reliably to the data network onboard an aircraft or spacecraft, or an integrated circuit or chip IP solution that is integrated directly into the end-system. In most cases, the robustness of the connectivity is the result of physical connection (often dual- or triple redundant), embedded software that runs on the host system, and network configuration (end-system specific variable data).
TTTECH has developed integrated circuits and matching software for some of its core technologies. These devices can be procured from TTTECH and its distribution partners to build reliable equipment that needs to safely connect to avionics busses and networks.
When developing applications, our customers typically develop and test either hardware or software, or more likely both. To support this phase and qualification campaigns, TTTECH provides development and test equipment, which, in particular, allows customers to take the first steps with novel technologies and try out data network setups based on laboratory-grade hardware instead of flight hardware, which is more expensive or often not available yet.
Mobile machinery
These ECUs are designed for the demanding work environment of off-highway vehicles and mobile machinery. All devices are tested under extremely harsh conditions to ensure a maximum level of reliability, and the electronic circuits are well protected by a compact, automotive-style aluminum pressure die-cast housing.
Every machine, every vehicle, and every application has different requirements. To make sure that customers find the right fit for their project, they can choose between three size categories of ECUs: high-end, mid-size and compact.
Complex applications might need a higher number of inputs and outputs than provided by an ECU. With TTControl's I/O modules customers can easily expand the amount of I/Os to fit their project. TTControl's offering includes safety certified I/O modules and general purpose modules

With the industry shifting towards more automation, displays must assist the operator and become more than just a tool. TTControl's HMI product lineup comes with cutting-edge electronics and features a series of displays as well as a family of monitors to complement the displays. Both lines of products ensure exceptional performance, highest safety, and reliability in the harshest environments. TTControl's displays are available in sizes ranging from 5 to 12.1 inches, providing the right fit for all projects.
TTControl's switches are designed for application development and supports Ethernet in-vehicle network architectures. They were specifically developed for vehicles and machines used in rugged operating environments and at extreme operating temperatures. The switches are protected by a proven, robust, and compact housing designed for the off-highway and agricultural industry.
Aviation & Space
The software tools we currently offer share a common objective – they allow TTTECH’s customers to configure data communication parameters, including efficient scheduling in their data bus (TTP®) or deterministic Ethernet network. This configuration affects the complete network and send and receive slots of individual nodes (end-systems). These tools run on Windows and Linux-based personal computers. In addition, verification tools (see below) are on offer, which aid formal qualification and/or certification in aerospace programs.
Augmenting our non-qualified network and device scheduling tools (TTE-Tools and TTP-Tools), TTTECH has developed verification tools that support the formal qualification/certification of a system for flight. This is of critical importance in civil aviation projects in particular where it can save a substantial amount of efforts compared to an approach without such PC-based tooling.

Aviation
TTTECH Aerospace owns and develops certifiable chip IP blocks also for Ethernet networks. These blocks are used in their own integrated circuits but are also offered to customers who need to build their own solutions for ARINC 664 part 7, Time-Triggered Ethernet (TTEthernet, or TSN connectivity. Please find more information on our certifiable end system FPGA IP core.
TTTECH developed an SAE AS6003 compliant chip IP core, which is also used on its off-the-shelf TTP-Controller ASIC. This chip IP was designed to meet the stringent requirements of RTCA DO-254 / EUROCAE ED-80. It can be offered for various FPGA’s and although the primary use cases are in aviation, other safety-critical applications, for example, in the energy sector, can utilize the same chip IP.
Space
TTTECH continues to promote the use of TTEthernet for space applications in particular ones with highest safety-criticality. One of the unique features of TTEthernet is its support for triple-redundant networks which allow for dual fault-tolerance required for example in human spaceflight. Our qualified TTEthernet chip IP has been licensed for the NASA Orion spacecraft and is the basis for our own radiation-hardened TTEthernet Controller ASICs. It can be licensed from TTTech in various formats for use in end systems or more complex systems-on-chip. It complies with the Time-Triggered Ethernet ECSS engineering standard and is supported by our TTE-Tools.
One of the emerging data communication standards is Time Sensitive Networking (TSN), which may be used in space based on the aviation profile or because available TSN COTS components appeal to developers of launch vehicles or non-safety critical satellites. TTTECH has been one of the pioneers of TSN for several markets and has chip IP available as well as under development. Please enquire with us if you consider using the nascent technology in your space application – either complementary to TTEthernet on its own, because, for example, bandwidth (10 Gbps+) and interoperability are your primary concern.
