TTTECH has been a data handling technology partner to space agencies and large system integrators in the space domain for more than 20 years. Starting with the NASA Orion project and then quickly moving into space transportation – launchers and landers. Always focusing on the highest dependability and cost-efficiency. At the 2026 Space Symposium, we look forward to the demonstration of our flight-proven, qualified, and soon-to-be-qualified products for the main market segments below.

Satellites market
Driven by rapid innovation advances in avionics and digital payloads, satellite constellations are scaling to meet demands in communications, resilient navigation, and continuous Earth observation. To move data efficiently across these architectures, optical inter-satellite links are becoming a key enabler, while reliable, standards-based Ethernet is emerging as the backbone on board of spacecraft. Here, Ethernet provides both the deterministic connections in control & data handling platforms, and the ultra high-speed data routing infrastructure across payload networks. TTTECH addresses these trends with its TTE-Switch MYTHOS for space, enabling fast, reliable data networks and optionally real-time capable communication for mission-critical controls. Looking ahead, TTTECH is developing a terabit-class Ethernet switch IP (up to ~1.6 Tbit/s) under an ESA ARTES program to support next-generation constellations with optical inter-satellite links.
The TTESwitch MYTHOS is a standalone device built in a compact box. It is available as an off-the-shelf product and forms the core of a reliable TTEthernet data network used to connect payload subsystems on satellites and control units on landers and space stations.
The flight-proven TTEEnd System Controller HiRel is an integrated communication controller (system-on-chip) that is radiation-hardened by design. It supports three traffic classes (SAE AS6802, ARINC 664 part 7, and IEEE 802.3).
The TTESwitch MYTHOS HiRel is a standalone device built in a compact box. It is available as an off-the-shelf product and forms the core of a reliable TTEthernet data network used to connect onboard avionics subsystems in space transportation vehicles.
Two TTESwitch Space 3U cPCI cards, one TTEEnd System card and one Aitech SPO0-S Single Board Computer form a powerful ТТЕthernet®-enabled computing platform.
Power-efficient space-grade layer 2 TTЕthernet® Switching Unit with up to four TTESwitch Space 3U cPCI cards, qualified for use on the Lunar Gateway.
This fully qualified card forms the core of a TTEthernet® network for space avionics. It provides 6x 1000BASE-T and 6x 100BASE-TX full-duplex Ethernet ports.

About TTTECH Aerospace
TTTECH Aerospace is the business entity within TTTECH Group that focuses on the global aerospace and defense markets.
We provide highly reliable, radiation-hardened components and highly integrated modules/units to various programs, both commercial and governmental. Highlights are the human-rated NASA Orion (including the European Service Module “ESM”) and Lunar Gateway, but we are also strongly present in space transportation, where, for example, the Ariane 6, Europe’s flagship launch vehicle, relies on a fault-tolerant TTEthernet® data network.

NASA's Lunar Gateway
TTEthernet® is used as the Gateway’s avionics backbone network and acts as the ‘central nervous system’ of the space station/spacecraft. It will enable ultra-reliable high-speed data communication, not only within the individual modules, but also between the elements of Gateway and docking spacecraft and/or landing systems. Built-in dual fault tolerance is one of the key features to achieve a significantly higher safety level and a fail-operational system.
TTEthernet implementations across industries
TTEthernet implements the Time-Triggered Architecture developed at the Technical University of Vienna by Professor Hermann Kopetz, which was also the starting point for TTTECH. TTEthernet enables three traffic classes to use the same physical medium for data transmission – Time-Triggered Ethernet traffic acc. to SAE AS6802, rate-constrained traffic acc. to ARINC 664 part 7, and best-effort acc. to IEEE 802.3.
