Austrian based TTTech - Time-Triggered Technology GmbH is the only embedded systems company awarded the 1999 European Information Society Technologies (IST) prize. The European IST prize is an award for ground breaking products representing the best of European innovation in information technology. The European IST prize is organized by Euro-CASE with the support and sponsorship of the European Commission.

The award-winning product is TTTech's innovative Software Development Environment for embedded systems based on the Time-Triggered Protocol (TTP). The TTP Software Development Environment encompasses support for all development activities from system specification to operations monitoring. Leading blue-chip companies in Europe, the USA, and Japan already use the TTP Software Development Environment.

Time-Triggered Technology is an enabling technology for distributed fault-tolerant real-time applications in highvolume markets such as drive-by-wire systems in cars. Compared to its competitors, TTP offers compelling advantages in composability, predictability, and reliability of distributed embedded applications.

TTP was developed by Vienna Technical University in close collaboration with European industry with support by European Community research grants. Yearly growth rates of over 100 percent underline the successful transition from research prototype to industrial standard. TTTech is committed to offer premier products and services for Time-Triggered Technology.
