IMPACT25 panel - autonomy beyond automotive

The topic of safe and secure automation and autonomy, as well as the collaboration within and between ecosystems ties in with our “Joint Impact” initiative that is part of our anniversary campaign #IMPACT25. Looking beyond one's industry segment is always a good approach to gaining a broader perspective and discovering new insights. At TTTech, we understand the importance of working not only with our customers and partners but also across industries to drive technology and innovation and create the business models and applications of the future.

That is why we were excited to join The Autonomous Main Event in September, where TTTech’s CEO Georg Kopetz moderated an exciting panel on “Autonomy beyond automotive – areas of synergy”. With a lineup of experts from the aviation, Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), and the agricultural sector, this panel looked at autonomy from a cross-industry perspective and highlighted the learnings and technologies from individual industries that can be applied to new applications, such as AAM or smart farming.

Check out the panel to learn more about:

  • When looking at autonomous mobility across sectors – from aviation, to automotive, to mobile machinery – what are the main drivers and the main challenges of this new type of mobility?
  • The main challenges and opportunities for a wider adoption of flight taxis, delivery drones, and smart and autonomous machinery.
  • The synergies that the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), the agricultural, and the aviation sectors leverage from the automotive industry.
  • Benefits, new business models, and short-term use cases for autonomous operation.
  • Stringent safety standards in the aerospace sector and their impact on the introduction of more digital, autonomous solutions.
  • How AAM providers can gain public trust and acceptance.

Panelists:

  • Maria J. Alonso Gonzalez, Autonomous System Lead at the World Economic Forum
  • Thorsten Brunnert, Vice President Service Function Sensors & Components at CLAAS
  • Vipul G., Vice President and General Manager at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies
  • Lina Yang, Head of Intelligent Systems at Supernal
