The TTEXMC Card brings the full power of time-triggered Ethernet communication technology to the XMC form factor. It combines the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet standard for Gigabit Ethernet with the safety-critical time-triggered technology of TTTech. The TTEXMC Card implements the distributed fault-tolerant clock synchronization algorithm of TTEthernet in hardware, enabling real-time Ethernet communication between a computer and TTEthernet Switches for redundant channels.

The TTEXMC Card can be used with PCIe (PCI Express), CPCIe, VME, VPX and VXS carrier boards. It can also be plugged into various PCs or embedded CPU boards for lab use or field applications.

It is available in a lab version supporting up to three SFP channels. A copper-only variant and a ruggedized version for field application are planned. In its default configuration, the card is shipped with a passive cooler. Conduction cooling is also supported.

TTEPMC/XMC LabView Integration

The TTEPMC/XMC LabView Driver package provides Virtual Instruments for National Instrument's LabView that support loading the TTEthernet Network Interface Card (NCI) configurations, sending/receiving messages, and gathering NIC status information in the LabView environment. Operating system platforms supported are Windows XP SP3 and NI ETS 2009.
