Avionics Full-Duplex Switched Ethernet

The ARINC 664 part 7 standard (corresponding to the AFDX® trademark) defines deterministic data transfers in a network for safety-critical aerospace applications. It utilizes dedicated bandwidth-regulated traffic control while providing deterministic Quality of Service (QoS).

The service is based on standard IEEE 802.3 Ethernet technology. Its main aspects include full-duplex switched and profiled Ethernet, redundancy management and high-speed performance – all incorporated into our commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) AFDX® products.

TTTech Aerospace’s products play an integral part in routing bandwidth-regulated traffic through a safety-critical network environment with high-reliability and high-speed communication requirements.
