Technical Lead – Safety Expert Team (m/f/d)
In this exciting function you will be responsible for technical guidance and direction of safety experts, that support our international customers in the development of safe & highly automated driving. You will be overall technical responsible for multi-dimensional safety counseling tasks supporting our customers in their transition from fail-silent to fail-operational systems.
Your main tasks are leading and developing expert teams, introducing innovative and effective solutions at our customers, as well as enabling a global knowledge transfer in the field of functional safety and safety of the intended functionality for highly automated driving. To ensure an easy take-off we will provide an intensive on-boarding in our headquarters in Vienna to gain a deep understanding of our technology and core product together with reference architecture designs for fail-operational E/E systems for highly automated driving.

Your Tasks
Technical steering of the TTTech Auto safety expert group and execution of consulting projects as a lead safety expert. This assignment includes the following activities:- Lead project teams to consult and support the customer’s development teams throughout the safety lifecycle
- Provide guidance for the transition from fail-silent to fail-operational systems – on architecture, process, and implementation levels
- Conceptualize and contribute to creating safe E/E system designs and safety concepts for highly automated driving
- Supervise requirements and safety analyses, verify adequacy and efficiency of safety concepts and mechanisms
- Support customer acquisition, and lead the technical offer creation
- Closely collaborate with core team of safety experts and product development team in our headquarters
- Represent the safety expert group through contributions to conferences and journals, and become a recognized member of the automotive safety community
Your Profile
- Acknowledged expertise in safety concepts and architectures on the vehicle, ECU, and software levels
- Strong system level thinking and understanding of the challenges and solutions in the development of highly automated driving and ADAS systems
- Know-how and experience in the relevant standards such as ISO 26262, ISO 21448, UL 4600
- Strong knowledge in software architectures and real-time embedded software development on mid- and high-end SOCs (POSIX, RTOS, virtualization)
- Knowledge of Classic AUTOSAR and Adaptive AUTOSAR including SOA (service-oriented architecture)
- Authentic, respectful, and encouraging leadership attitude, experience in leading teams of technical experts
- Team player and hands-on approach
- Strong intercultural and communication skills
- High willingness to travel
- Degree in a related technical field of study, Master’s or above preferred
- Excellent command of English; German or Chinese is a plus

Additional information for Austria: We provide an attractive and performance-based salary, which is based on your qualifications and professional experience. This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade (“Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe”) and we offer a minimum salary of € 80,000.- gross per year. Actual compensation can be well above this standard.
