Space Systems Engineer

You will work on the development and support the integration of complex electronic systems together with our customers in terms of performance, reliability, and robustness. Our customers are the leading space integrators which gives you the possibility to participate in projects of tomorrow’s space vehicles.

Your Tasks

  • Work closely with NASA Johnson Space Center on all aspects of the implementation of TTE in the Gateway and other exploration programs
  • Attend and provide TTTech technical leadership in the various JSC working groups and engineering/ program boards
  • Provide a systems viewpoint to determine the optimal implementation of TTE Networks for the Gateway and cislunar exploration concept of operation
  • Work closely with the Human Spaceflight Safety community on all aspects of the TTE Network to develop an optimal network product implementation
  • Lead all technical communications between Human spaceflight customers and TTTech’s product management and design teams
  • Manage pre-contract efforts for technical evaluation, demonstrations, and early adoption of TTTech products in the Space industry
  • Gather industry requirements and directly collaborate with Product Management on roadmap development
  • Participate and provide input to business development and market segmentation strategies
  • Work in close synchronization with the Space Key Account Manager and the rest of the space team, being a technical point-of-contact / relationship manager for all of his/her customer accounts
  • Present at industry conferences and be a thought leader in the industry for deterministic space communications

Your Profile

  • Completed university degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or similar field is required
  • Minimum of 7 years proven experience in relevant technical Aerospace role with customer contact
  • Experience in one or more of the following disciplines within Aerospace and Defense is preferred:
    • Aerospace lifecycle, certification, and qualification processes 
    • Industry safety standards such as DO-254, DO-178C, DO-330 and MIL-STDs
    • Real-Time Operating Systems (VxWorks, DEOS, PikeOS, etc.) and ARINC 653
    • Systems, Software, or Hardware development for real-time embedded systems in Avionics, Mission Systems, or Flight / Engine Controls
    • FPGA and/or ASIC based systems design
    • Deterministic communication systems
  • The ability to qualify client's needs and follow-up with recommendations for solutions best suited to their needs
  • Ability to write technical complex proposals and support the business or management proposal efforts
  • The ability to learn new products and customer use-cases quickly and comprehensively
  • A real desire to succeed and grow in responsibility and position
  • Due to industry technical data regulations, applicant must be a US citizen or US Permanent Resident
  • Excellent communication skills
