Safety Consultant – Automotive (m/f/d)
In this sophisticated role you become one of the key support functions for our customers worldwide and bring the development of safe & highly automated driving to a new level! An intensive onboarding program in our headquarter (Vienna) will help you to gain a deep understanding of our technology and core product together with reference architecture designs for fail-operational E/E systems. As an expert in a multi-dimensional set up you take on responsibility for safety-relevant tasks in our international development projects and enable a global knowledge transfer in the field of Functional Safety and Safety of the Intended Functionality for highly automated driving.
Your Tasks
Advise, consult and coach the customer’s development team throughout the safety life cycle and provide guidance for the transition from fail-silent to fail-operational systems
Conceptualize & contribute to creating safe E/E system designs and safety concepts for highly automated driving by considering Functional Safety (ISO 26262, up to ASIL D) and Safety of the Intended Functionality (ISO 21448)
Analyzing, evaluating and alignment with customer stake holders regarding high level functional safety requirements, followed by deriving the requirements for the HW and SW level
Define Intra-ECU interfaces in MultiSensor and MultiCore environments and to other ECUs in the E/E network
Conduct Safety Analyses and verify adequacy & efficiency of error detection, error handling and safety mechanisms
Close collaboration with core team of safety experts and product development team in our headquarter
Your Profile
Degree in a related technical field of study, Master’s or above preferred
Expert knowledge in:
Functional Safety for automotive E/E systems (ISO 26262)
Safety of the Intended Functionality (SOTIF) (ISO 21448)
ASPICE standards & requirements
Profound understanding of:
Real time Embedded SW Development and automotive Bus Systems (CAN, Ethernet)
Classic AUTOSAR and Adaptive AUTOSAR including SOA (service-oriented architecture)
Experience with development tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Git, PTC Integrity) is a benefit
Team player and Hands-on approach
Strong intercultural and communication skills
High willingness to travel
Excellent command of English; German & Chinese advantageous
