Release Train Engineer (m/f/d)

In this high profiled position, you are responsible for optimal value delivery of one of our Agile Release Trains in the relevant department. Beside a strong understanding of agile methodologies, you have also a solid skill in classical project management. You can act with confidence within an agile environment, as well as in a classical project setup. In this role you are responsible for the excellent operational performance of our Agile Release Train in the given department. Your excellent communication skills and open personality helps to drive relentless improvements within our organization.

Your Tasks

  • Act as servant leader and coach for the Release Train
  • Facilitate and guide the work of the teams in the release train, organize Agile Release Train events
  • Facilitate the release train processes and execution
  • including teambuilding and decision-making process on release train level (Chief PO, Chief Architects)
  • Ensure continuous improvement and increase throughput and reliability of the Agile Release Train
  • Drive the resolution of impediments within the release train and escalate impediments to solution level or chapters
  • Collaborate closely with Scrum Masters of the Release Train
  • Drive the establishment of a lean-agile mindset within the product development organization
  • Communicate with stakeholders of the release train
  • Manage risks related to the development organization
  • Track Release Train KPIs

Your Profile

  • University degree in a technical field of study -- preferably with reference to computer science
  • +5 years experience as project manager/release train engineer or similar role
  • Basic software development skills
  • Practical work experience with agile teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation and moderation skills
  • Communicative person with a structured working style and strong organization skills
  • Motivated to work in a very dynamic environment
  • High attention to quality of the work

We provide an attractive and performance-based salary, which is based on your qualifications and professional experience. This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade (“Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe”) and we offer a minimum salary of € 60,000.- gross per year. Actual compensation can be well above this standard.
