DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)
In this position you will get a deep understanding of our global software development infrastructure and of the respective development processes. Together with a team of experts you will take over responsibility for managing, developing, and maintaining a reliable software infrastructure toolchain to facilitate our development processes and support our software developers. This enables you to not only provide the technical infrastructure for a successful completion of our projects but also to manage a professional relationship with all stakeholders on a high level of social and technical competence.
Your Tasks
- Support in integrating the needs of software developers and operational IT
- Ensure processes and tools provide the best experience for our internal software developers
- Assistance in maintaining and provisioning of a state-of-the-art development tool chain
- Increase of development performance with automation tools and frameworks for continuous development
- Reduction of manual efforts by automating processes and workflows
- Implementation of monitoring solutions to ensure quality of service
- Implementation of performance analysis to identify bottle necks and support demand prediction
- Investigation of technical issues and development of sustainable solutions
- Providing support to developers from all business units
Your Profile
- Profound understanding and supporting of the DevOps mindset in an agile and standard setup
- Passion for IT and automation as key enabler for all efficient business activities
- Good technical understanding and analytical thinking
- Practical experience with automation of workflows and CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins)
- Good programming and scripting skills (preferably Python and Bash)
- Experience with containerized/virtualized environment (e.g. Docker, Vagrant, Kubernetes)
- Practical experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. Ansible, Vagrant etc.) and monitoring (Checkmk, Prometheus, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, service-oriented mindset, and social competence
- Very good command of English language

We provide an attractive and performance-based salary, which is based on your qualifications and professional experience. This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade (“Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe”) and we offer a minimum salary of € 39,000.- gross per year. Actual compensation can be well above this standard.
