Business Development Manager – Automotive (m/f/d)

You have a strong background and passion for the Automotive industry, are a strong networker with a high degree of customer and market orientation? Then this role should be a perfect fit for you. As a Business Development Manager you will help us to strengthen our market position in the automotive industry.

Your Tasks

  • Develop account plans and create a feasible outbound action plan for customers and regions according to our Mid-Term Plan
  • Identify, evaluate and monitor market and industry trends and customer drivers
  • Identify and research additional potential clients in line with our overall product and sales strategy
  • Drive the establishment of business relationships with newly identified customers
  • Create new business opportunities
  • Build a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets
  • Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select the deals in line with strategies, and facilitate pitch logistics
  • Track performance via a report metric
  • Feedback customer insights into the organization

Your Profile

  • Completed degree with a technical and/or commercial focus
  • More than 8 years’ experience in a Senior Sales and/or Business Development position
  • Established network in the automotive industry to OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers
  • Background and passion for Automotive software / electronics / Autonomous driving / Infotainment
  • Customer focus, networking and door opener mentality
  • APAC experience is beneficial
  • English is a must, German and any Asian language is a plus

We provide an attractive and performance-based salary, which is based on your qualifications and professional experience. This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade (“Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe”) and we offer a minimum salary of € 60,000.- gross per year. Actual compensation can be well above this standard.
