Avionics Systems Engineer

Are you passionate about aviation systems and electronics? Then this role might be just the right fit. You will work on the development and support the integration of complex electronic systems together with our customers in terms of performance, reliability, and robustness. Our customers are the leading airplane and space integrators which gives you the possibility to participate in projects of tomorrow’s aircraft and space vehicles.

Your Tasks

  • Support customers on technical topics regarding our products and tools
  • Execute on-site quick starts, training, and seminars with customers to demonstrate the value proposition of TTTech solutions
  • Define and implement Systems Integration Lab capabilities in the US offices to mirror customer setups
  • Create scripts, application specific examples, and necessary codes to support the integration of our products
  • Work with the development teams to create or modify product requirements based on customer-experience
  • Provide voice-of-the-customer feedback to the BU Aerospace leadership and product managers
  • Create test-benches, and mirror architectures in the US systems integration lab to be used as technology demonstrators and troubleshooting vehicles
  • Support and participation in marketing programs, conferences, and events
  • Creates and delivers technical papers and/or presentations
  • Prepare reports and provide feedback to management personnel on a timely basis
  • Other multifaceted tasks directed by the management

Your Profile

  • Bachelor‘s degree or higher in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar
  • Background in Aerospace electronics and/or systems
  • Strong lab and software programming skills, including Linux and C
  • Ability to work closely and coordinate with multiple departments both in the US and internationally, while being highly self-motivated to working autonomously
  • Ability to learn and understand new products quickly
  • Knowledge in software and hardware development for safety critical and/or real-time embedded systems
  • ARINC 653 experience as well as knowledge with RTCA DO-254 and DO-178C are desired
  • Familiarity with FPGA and ASIC based applications is desired
  • Ability to qualify customer's needs to give suitable recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills and good competence in effectively speaking in front of various sized groups
  • Must have ability to obtain a US Passport, domestic travel and some international travel expected
  • Due to industry technical data regulations, applicant must be a US citizen or US Permanent Resident
