Mezzanine cards are hardware extensions for embedded motherboards. They guarantee system flexibility and upgradeability, lower hardware costs and simplify obsolescence management with VME (Virtual Machine Environment), cPCI (CompactPCI) and PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) standards. By using Mezzanine Cards, legacy VME and cPCI systems with on-board PMC adapters can be easily integrated into a deterministic TTP network.
