This member of TTTech's TTEthernet switch product family supports a maximum 24 Ethernet ports. It has 6 triple-speed 10/100/1000 ports and 18 10/100 ports offering full-duplex mode. The switch supports the concept of virtual links and takes the role as a guard protecting the non-interference. This enables TTEthernet to satisfy strong security requirements in industrial systems. The SIL Switch employs a high-integrity design. This ensures reliable time-triggered communication and safe synchronization of switches and end systems. The switch is designed for use within an actively redundant TTEthernet communication system of high reliability and supports fail-operational systems. The redundancy management concept does not need recovery time. Dual redundant ring and star topologies are supported as well. The development process is compliant with industrial standards. The switch is certifiable for SIL 2 and SIL 3 according to IEC 61508. The switch ports use an optical (1000/100Base-SX) physical layer. These can be configured to go to sleep state while the switch is in low power mode. In low power mode the power consumption of the switch can be reduced to less than 20 percent. The switch supports secure network management. Using TTELoad, the configuration data of the switch can be updated via the network. The data is then stored in the non-volatile memory of the switch, and becomes effective at the next power-up or reset. For this product, please allow for a longer delivery time.
