One of the challenges that must be met at the start of series production involving FlexRay is the limited experience of market participants with the physical dimensioning and design of FlexRay networks. Due to possible gaps in specification, a thorough examination of all components of the physical layer in the network is necessary.
Our experts analyze the network dimensioning of the customer. They test the influence of cabling, transceivers, and other communication components, such as inductors and bus termination concepts. Additionally, the effects of connections, cable assembies, and installed control units are investigated.
The physical analysis includes:
- Theoretical analysis under consideration of time constraints of all communication components
- Board measurements with support of boundary sample control units in order to validate the safety reserves of the dimensioning
- Provision of all necessary board set-ups
The measurements can be made on-site as well as at all company branches. We also check suitability of the customer's components, coordinate with manufacturers, take care of error analysis, and develop auxilliary solutions.
