AFDX / ARINC 664 Product PortfolioAvionics Full-Duplex Switched Ethernet (AFDX®) is a deterministic Ethernet protocol for avionics data networks and has been standardized within ARINC 664 part 7. AFDX utilizes dedicated bandwidth-regulated traffic control while providing deterministic Quality of Service (QoS). The service is based on standard IEEE 802.3 Ethernet technology, and its main aspects include full-duplex switched and profiled Ethernet, redundancy management, and high-speed performance - all incorporated into our commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) AFDX products. Guaranteed bandwidth and elimination of transmission collisions provide high data integrity and deterministic timing. The core offering of TTTech's product line comprises certifiable AFDX production hardware including avionics data network switches and end systems. These products are developed according to the aerospace standards RTCA DO-254 DAL A and RTCA DO-178B DAL A. They are qualified according to RTCA DO-160F. Supplementing the production hardware offering, AFDX products for development, ground testing, and V&V are available. These include an ARINC 664 compliant development switches as well as an AFDX development end system card. Thus, the TTTech AFDX / ARINC 664 product portfolio consists of flight and rugged hardware, switches, end systems, software tools as well as solutions for testing and verification.
