For over ten years, TTControl has been a strategic technology partner to Rosenbauer, supporting the development of safe, reliable, and future-ready firefighting vehicles.
In a recent interview, Markus Schachner, Head of R&D at Rosenbauer Group, shared insights into the collaboration. TTControl’s electronic control units (ECUs) and software solutions are described as “the heart of our product,” ensuring safe and functional operation even under extreme conditions. One standout project was the development of airport rescue stairs, executed entirely via digital twin technology—an innovation milestone for both companies.
Looking ahead, Rosenbauer is committed to advancing electromobility and autonomous functions in firefighting. Having started its electrification journey in 2012, the company sees zero-emission and smart technologies as essential to addressing climate-driven challenges. TTControl’s expertise in functional safety and scalable ECU platforms continues to support Rosenbauer’s mission to deliver sustainable and intelligent solutions.
