#IMPACT25 Panel: Why technology development needs a scientific foundation
Renowned computer scientist Professor Hermann Kopetz is one of the co-founders of TTTech and the architect of the Time-Triggered Technology that lent the company its name. In 1997, one year before TTTech took up operations, he published his ground-breaking work “Real-Time Systems: Design Principles for Distributed Embedded Applications”. The book is now being used as a standard text at universities all over the world and went into its third edition in 2022.
In this #IMPACT25 panel, Prof. Kopetz and Wilfried Steiner, Director of TTTech Labs, who co-authored the third edition, explore the origin of this revolutionary work and trace its impact on research and industry throughout the past 25 years and into the future.
